Welcome to the 2026–2027 Head Start School Year!
Welcome to Head Start! Whether your family is joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we are so happy you're here. It is a privilege to partner with you during this important time in your child's life, and we look forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, growth, and new discoveries.
At Head Start, we know that children learn best when families and educators work together. You are your child's first and most important teacher, and your involvement makes a lasting difference. We value the trust you place in us and are committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn.
Head Start provides much more than a preschool experience. Through hands-on learning and developmentally appropriate activities, we help children build the skills, confidence, and curiosity they need to be ready for kindergarten—the first step in a lifetime of learning. Our goal is not only to prepare children for a successful transition to school, but also to nurture a love of learning that will continue to grow throughout their lives.
We also believe that supporting the whole child means supporting the whole family. In addition to a high-quality early learning experience, Head Start provides access to health, dental, nutrition, and mental health services, and partners with families to connect them with resources that promote overall well-being. When children are healthy, supported, and surrounded by caring adults, they are better prepared to learn and thrive.
Every day is an opportunity to explore, ask questions, make new friends, and celebrate each child's unique strengths. Together, we will encourage independence, build confidence, and inspire children to become kind, capable, and lifelong learners.
I encourage you to be an active part of your child's Head Start experience—volunteer when you can, participate in family events, share your ideas, and celebrate your child's accomplishments with us. The partnerships we build with families are at the heart of everything we do, and together we can create a strong foundation that will benefit your child for years to come.
